Praxis Version 9 Pricing and Additional Information


ADDITIONAL COSTS/FEES:

What costs/fees may a user incur to implement or use the certified software?

The costs/fees incurred to implement or use Praxis EMR version 9 include:

1. Initial purchase price and purchase price for additional provider licenses in the future. Non-provider users are included at no cost. These costs include training and support for everyone for the first year of use as well as all updates for that year except optional secure email license fees.

2. Upgrades to the latest version are free of charge and required to receive training and support.

3. Yearly support and maintenance fees include upgrades to the latest version, and special codes such as the CPT codes licensed by the American Medical Association as well as the latest medications.

4. Optional yearly Secure email address provided by EMR Direct to your clinic and to your patients. This is required to meet MIPS certification.

5. One time Interface costs with your clinical lab if not underwritten by your clinical lab.

6. Development of special interfaces to Health Information Exchange (HIE) organizations if not currently available. This may be required by your ACO or other healthcare organization.

7. The Praxis EMR program does allow for any clinic to create their own queries, practice advisories/ quality measures at no charge, but there is a one time charge for development of Special Queries, Practice Advisories, and Quality Measures if we are asked to develop them on your behalf.

8. Optional Additional training fees  (20 hour initial training fees are included with the purchase price of a new license)

9. Interface to third party applications if not currently available. This includes immunization and CMS Qualified Registries.

10. Special support required to fix a potential database corruption if we are not hosting your database within our cloud system.

11.  The use of the Patient Portal, including its interfaces with Praxis is free of charge, however the portal does allow for patients to transmit a summary of their healthcare information to third parties of their choice electronically as required by CMS regulations (170.314.e.1). A yearly license fee is charged to enable this specific action if a patient requests it.

12.  This certified product-version may require ongoing annual costs to support the FastCoder, Drug Contraindication Module (DIT), and e-Prescribing (eRx) registration and maintenance.

Are these costs/fees fixed, one-time, recurring, ongoing, monthly, transaction based, annual, etc.?

There are no per transaction costs.

What additional software must be purchased that is not included in the initial purchase of this software?

In the on-premise server model, the Oracle Database license is required.

What kinds of services, functionality, or software are attributed to this cost?

As described above.

Are there factors that impact additional types of costs, including but not limited to geographical considerations, volume and usage, costs associated with necessary interfaces or other licenses or technology, and costs associated with exchange partner technology and characteristics, among other relevant factors?

None except for possible charges as described above.

Does the contract impose any restriction on the implementation or use of certified capabilities or the data generated by these capabilities?

The contract does not impose any restrictions on the implementation or use of Praxis EMR version 9.

Are there any business policies or practices that may constrain the implementation or use of certified capabilities?

There are no business policies or practices that constrain the implementation or use of the certified capabilities.

Is it necessary for the user to engage with a third party?

It is not necessary for the user to engage with a third party except for the need to have your own IT technician available to help manage your system if you choose to host your Praxis instead of relying on our cloud.

If necessary to engage with a third party, to your knowledge, is there an agreement that providers must enter into with this third party?

None.

If there are third parties involved, are there any constraints on who they choose for this service?

No constraints. As explained above there may be a cost for new interfaces that may be needed.

Are there any product restrictions that could prevent or impair the implementation, configuration, maintenance, support or use of a certified capability?

Praxis EMR version 9 has no technical restrictions that could prevent, impair implementation, configuration, maintenance, support, or use of this certified application.

Are there any constraints of workstations or licenses where the software is deployed, volume of transactions or usage, or associated bandwidth caps?

Praxis EMR has no known restrictions of licenses, volumes of transactions, usage, or associated bandwidth caps.

Are there any restrictions that a user may encounter regarding the exchange or portability of any data generated when using the capability?

There are no known technical restrictions that a user may encounter regarding the exchange or portability of data generated when using the capability.

Are there any problems with non-certified capabilities that may interfere with the use or implementation of any certified capabilities?

There are no known issues with non-certified capabilities that may interfere with the use or implementation of any certified capabilities.

Praxis is the only EHR to offer an ownership model to all providers. The First Provider is $219/month for 60/months, or $259 for 48 months. Adding additional providers is 1/2 off. After a Praxis plan the provider owns Praxis for lifetime and Comprehensive Support, Updates, and Upgrades is a low $70/month for lifetime.
