CV for Barry Schifrin, MD

Dr. Schifrin is nationally known for his research in electronic fetal monitoring. He has had professorship appointments in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Harvard Medical School and University of Southern California and Loma Linda University Schools of Medicine.

He was also the Director of the residency program in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Glendale Adventist Medical Center.

As a clinician he has served as the Director of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at several community hospitals in Southern California. Dr. Schifrin has published over 200 articles and books.

His honors, awards and clinical research projects are extensive and reflect his pioneering efforts in the field of OB/GYN medicine. He is a graduate of Columbia College (NY), and the Chicago Medical School (IL); Internship at Michael Reese Hospital, (IL); Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Metropolitan Hospital (NY), and Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center (NY); received a National Institutes of Health (NIH) Clinical Cancer Fellowship at the University of Miami School of Medicine (FL); NIH Fellowship in Perinatal Biology at Yale University School of Medicine (CT).

He has recently conducted a study for the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
