"I could not envision practicing without it. Praxis is better than my stethoscope it is indeed both my right and left arms."
Sleep medicine specialists are devoted to the diagnosis, treatment and therapy of sleep related problems, disturbances and disorders. Stress, anxiety and depression can have a negative impact on the amount of sleep an individual gets. As a result of less sleep, patients are at more risk of memory issues and serious health problems such as heart disease, stroke and diabetes. It is critical to figure out the cause of the issues. It is important for the sleep medicine specialist to keep track of the conditions that already exist for their patients and how these conditions are progressing over time. These sleeping problems can be caused by many conditions, including but not limited to pain, trouble breathing and frequent urination
Sleep related problems can have significant health consequences for affected individuals as well as economic and other impacts on the patient and family. With such a vital role in ensuring a healthy, productive life for both adults as well as adolescents, sleep medicine specialists require a fast, accurate and efficient patient documentation system to run their practice and deliver the best possible patient care. Charting that takes seconds allows the sleep medicine specialist to stay engaged with their patient, getting to the root cause of their issue faster.
Today, sleep specialists are in high demand, face busy schedules and find themselves lacking time to focus on the patient/physician relationship. This has a negative impact on patients as well as provider, and templates in a sleep medicine practice's EHR take up a lot more of a provider's time than they save! Template-based EHRs are rigid and cumbersome, so they exacerbate the problem of treating a patient as a category instead of a unique case. By using template-based EHRs, doctors waste time selecting from cumbersome pick lists and check-boxes, limiting the productivity and personalization of their practice. An EHR for sleep medicine must be intuitive, fast, easy to use and customizable to the physician's workflow, allowing them to chart like they think and spend quality time with each patient.
By using Praxis, the top EHR for sleep medicine, physicians spend more quality time with their patients and less time in front of their computer.
